It's just about summer time, I started working at a pizza place, in California, and I've been feeling quite "Eighties" this past week. I've only truly experienced the last seventeen months of that decade, so I guess the feeling is legitimate. For some reason those things triggered it.

It's only based on eighties movies I've seen. Or just the idea that comes to mind. For instance, pizza was huge in the eighties movies - working at a pizza shop. Summer time in California - it's not Southern Cali, but it's my first real summer in the state. The radio endlessly mentions a $50k summer prize, just like in "One Crazy Summer". It's the little things that spark it.

The only cure for it is to cave in and watch some eighties movies. Only watched one so for. I don't know how eighties I'll feel later on today. So maybe one is all I needed. Haven't been listening to much of the music though. I seem to fall for movies more so than tunes of that era. Who'd a thunk it?

I think my brain has been washed. Even though I don't secretly want to take part in the infamous "eighties montage", sometimes it would be fun if life was like an eighties movie. Just for two hours. I get easily bored. That's the great thing about those movies, ninety minutes. Bless their hearts. Now a days more cinematic tales are over two hours. That's too much for me. If it's a movie that I really want to see then I'll watch it. Once. The second time won't be a total run through, just segments. It's a problem I know. Shorter movies. That's what I like.

Cheers, Tajlyn
