For quite some time now I've had this idea to be a part time RV-er. I would travel around in an RV or van and just play shows wherever and whenever I can. Of course I would find a travel buddy or two. I had read some articles and seen some videos of people doing this. Three months on the road, three months off. I think that would be awesome to experience! Tiresome at times, but it equals itself out.
The only problem I have now is that my car is great, just not for living out of with all my equipment. The poor thing. Right now when I load up all my gear you can see the weight just about to crush the tires. (Maybe a bit of an exaggeration, but you get the image). When I take out my amp, which is ridiculously heavy, it's as if it's spring loaded and the release of pressure just shoots the car back into place. Weird to feel it happen. So I need a different vehicle, and smaller equipment.
People have lived out of buses, mini-buses, vans, box trucks, RVs, anything that's comfy and can haul. My vehicle of choice changes quite often, but I'll figure it out. I need to eat breakfast right now. It seems that each week I have been writing this blog in different situations. Hungry, tired, the day before (inaccuracy on the date, I know), in a different room. Funny, I have a laptop, I can type this anywhere. Strange routines, get you every time you let them. I should write this outside one time. Not the next because that would be too predictable. Or would it?
Cheers,
Tajlyn
