Strange things have been happening around the presence of 'Mood Killer". (For those of you who don't know it's a song from my album New Element). Anyway, it's happened on more than one occasion to where I'm rehearsing it and things around me start to turn. I've had people start aggressively arguing, I've gotten a phone call that there was a mix up at the j-o-b and I'm expected to be there. Bummer. Come to think of it, two things aren't that much, but still the coincidence is there.

The crazy thing about this is that in the moments that those unfortunate things unfolded, I was completely fine with it. In fact it was kind of hilarious having screaming be the backing to a song called "Mood Killer", especially live. Makes it kind of organic. The main thing was that these "mood killers" didn't affect me. Sure I was a little perturbed on the way to my place of employment, but it could have been a lot worse. A lot. Trust me, it could have. I can just keep on going with this one, but I understand that would be odd, weird, a bit of a mood killer itself, annoying, completely unacceptable, undeniably unimaginative, feverishly nauseating to the point of the extinction of homosapiens, and down right rude. So I won't. Hey, anyone can be a "bigitch" if they want to (that's my take on the "b" word, just never had a chance to type it before. Wonderfully exciting!). Back to the presentation....

Mood killers are a part of life. Another color in the canvas that is our lives. If you look at the color blue you do not have to feel blue. That is a choice, simple as that. Put many colors together and you've got one awesome looking masterpiece. Still it's all in how you take a mood kill. You can fight it and make an even bigger mess than when they arrived. Or, you can accept it for what it is. Blend it into your masterpiece and brighten it up with the colors that you have already chosen for your day. Schlazammmmmmmm. (not sure what that was)

Just to make it known I'm just talking from my experiences. I'm curious to know what are some ways you manipulate the mood killers in your life?

Cheers, Tajlyn
